We are Committed.
if one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. all of you together are christ's body and each of you is a part if it. (1corinthians 12: 26-27 nlt)
United Teens Encounter Christ (UTEC) stands with people of color. As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe God calls us to stand with those who have suffered harm in any way, shape or form by taking actions such as non-violent protesting, providing needed resources, writing to elected officials, and lifting victims and affected people up in prayer.
UTEC believes that God calls us through the scripture to "build up one another" (1 Thessalonians 5:11) regardless of our differences because we are all created in the image of God.
It is this reason that UTEC stands opposed to all forms of abuse, discrimination and prejudice-based actions with regard to age, color, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. As an organization, UTEC is committed to listening, learning and working within our community to grow and make necessary changes to address these oppressive mindsets and behaviors.
